Happiness and Population Growth

The world's population rate has increased over more than 2,000 years.

It reached a peak in 2004, and is projected to fall to zero by 2021 and continue falling as the population crashes.

As happiness has increased, the population rate increased almost linearly - up to a point.

The change in population rate (population acceleration) peaked in 1890, soon after happiness doubled its minimum value (in 1875 at 41.2%). By the time happiness tripled (in 2008, at 61.8%), the population rate had already peaked (in 2004, acceleration was zero).
