I have several interests, which can be broadly categorized as relating to Earth and space. They tend to be focused on the future of humanity and other life.

For example, I spent a number of months researching and developing a generic plan for settling space. The result was a description of several trajectories for future population growth, which was presented to the Mars Society.

I have been exploring the case for sustainable living, proving to myself, and hopefully others, that stopping exponential growth of resource consumption is critical to our survival.

During the 2008 presidential election cycle, I was very active trying to help restore sanity and responsibility to government. Luckily, Barack Obama won.
