Saving the World: Step One

Identify, retrieve, and enable the use of new, preferably renewable resources.

To avoid population loss, over the next year attempt to replace one percent of what you consume with products made from renewable resources. Add the same fraction each following year: 2009 -- 1%; 2010 -- 2%, 2011 -- 3%, etc.

Since this strategy depends on the entire world following it, try to convince others (including your leaders) to do the same.
